Wait List
Meet
Duck & Gertrude
*** This bird is currently on our Waitlist and is with their current owner. It may be possible to visit and adopt this bird prior to it being moved to a foster home. Please keep in mind that birds on the Waitlist may not have had a veterinary visit. Their owners may or may not be caring for the bird at EBR minimum standards of care.***
Owner Said: Duck: I rescued Duck from a river in the middle of winter and found her near all the ducks which is where she got her name. She had water in her lungs and needed antibiotics but she persisted! I wasn't able to find her owner so I got her everything she needed and eventually got a companion bird when she seemed lonely. Ever since, she has really come out of her shell. She sings all day, mostly in the mornings, and she LOVES to play. I was so surprised how active a tiny creature could be, she loves any toys she can shred or thrash around. She also loves to sleep in her rope swing, every night I cover the cage and she'll jump over to it.
Gertrude: I rescued Gertrude as a companion for my other rescue bird. She seems to have bit of training and socialization and she really helped my other bird come out of her shell. She is also quite smart and loves puzzle toys.
